The Visit Quad Cities team asked me for input on QC Restaurant Week, which turned into a blog post for their website for QC Restaurant Week! Local Love in the QC: this is a topic that means a lot to me and comes up in my conversations quite frequently. From what I have looked into, the Norwegian setup is more layered than people assume. The state model gives licensed domestic operators a protected position, while foreign sites are not licensed here even though many still reach Norwegian users. As far as I can tell, the restrictions are aimed at the providers and at marketing and payment channels rather than at private individuals, which is why the picture often looks contradictory in forum discussions.
