It's been awhile!

I'm back from an unplanned, extended hiatus from this blog! More than six months, in fact - yikes! There has been a lot going on, so I'll try not to bore you with all the details. But I plan to be much more active here (and even have some guest posts planned)!

Now where to start? Recapping recent events is logical, and there have been some big happenings around here since I last checked in. How about a quick run down...

[Butternut Squash Panzanella Salad]

We change our menu twice a year and it's always quite a production. The process takes a few months, from discussions around what we want to replace, tastings, formatting and editing descriptions, and the all-employee meeting to go over the new items. There is only about one month left on this menu until the next one rolls out!

[Tricia, Mary, Billy, Fran, and Sarah]

We celebrated our fourth anniversary in November - every milestone is worth a little party (and some bubbly)!

Another new year's eve, another disco party!

[Pop-up Brunch]

Pop-up Brunches are few and far between around here (we really value our Sundays off). But every once in awhile it's fun to do something different! Chef Brad created a one-of-a-kind menu - I sampled almost everything, as you can see in this photo. We had an incredible turnout, so it was definitely worth the effort!

Galentine's Day is becoming one of my favorite faux holidays! Ladies celebrating ladies - doesn't get better than that. We hosted a girly brunch to mark the occasion and were a bit surprised by the amazing response - we had to turn people away (which we really hate to do)!

[Beer Pairing Dinner]

We teamed up with Firetrucker Brewery for a five course beer pairing dinner. Just look how pretty the first course was, and it only got better as the night went on. Dessert was definitely my favorite: Irish car bomb on a plate!

There have certainly been other things going on, from Alternating Currents back in August and a few crazy dates with The Crepe Guy sprinkled in the winter months (with two more to go), to the St. Patrick's Day Warm-up Party with live music from Stephen's Green just last week. And let's not forget an amazing research trip to NYC (that's deserving of it's own post - more to come)!

We love having fun events going on and aim to have something on the horizon at all times. Of course, one of the biggest days of the year is coming up - St. Patrick's Day falls on Grand Parade XXXIII day this year, so it's bound to be bigger and better than ever!
